Purpose and Value

Ripe was built on the belief that clients should own and understand their impact. This endpoint delivers raw reservation-level data to support internal intelligence, CRM workflows, and live dashboards. It’s not just a data feed—it’s a window into how your destination performs, how travelers are engaging, and where your marketing and distribution strategies are generating results.

Common Use Cases

This endpoint is used by Ripe clients to:

  • Integrate with CRMs like Tempest to track traveler engagement and campaign attribution.
  • Build live dashboards in tools like Domo, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Automate internal and stakeholder reporting on bookings and revenue.
  • Analyze booking trends by season, affiliate, or event.
  • Validate marketing efforts and demonstrate ROI to boards or partners.

Data Coverage

The API returns a comprehensive set of fields for each reservation, including:

  • Reservation Metadata: unique ID, creation date, confirmation number, status, balance due.
  • Guest Information: full name, email, location (state and country level).
  • Financials: room charge, taxes, fees, total amount paid.
  • Stay Details: check-in/check-out, length of stay, occupancy, accommodation name.
  • Property Information: property name, address, tax details, commission rate, URL.
  • Booking Source: promotion or discount used, confirmation codes, and referral tracking.

This data structure is optimized for compatibility with modern data stacks and can be easily adapted for most CRM and BI platforms.

Access Control

Access to the reservations endpoint is limited to the client and explicitly authorized third-party platforms. No other partners, affiliates, or event organizers can access this data. All integrations must use a valid API key associated with the client account and must follow security best practices for data access.

If integrating with an external CRM or visualization tool, the client must approve access and ensure proper key management.

CRM Integration Example

With CRMs such as Tempest, this endpoint can be used to:

  • Sync traveler booking data for lead tracking.
  • Segment travelers by location, stay pattern, or event.
  • Trigger automated communications or reporting workflows.
  • Correlate bookings to campaigns, events, or specific landing pages.

BI Dashboard Example

In a BI tool like Looker or Tableau, clients can use this endpoint to power visual dashboards showing:

  • Daily, weekly, or monthly booking trends.
  • Room revenue and tax distribution.
  • Affiliate and channel performance.
  • Booking windows and traveler origin maps.

This enables internal teams and stakeholders to clearly understand what’s driving tourism in their destination.

The reservation endpoint is a core part of Ripe’s mission to provide actionable, transparent, and localized insight. It allows clients to track real outcomes and make data-informed decisions in real time.
